Complete Health Screening London
Whole body MRI,
VO2 max testing and an advanced blood panel, £5,950
What’s Included
Your screening begins with a full review of your medical and family history. Your GP will take time to understand your background properly, identify any high-risk markers in your family history, and conduct a thorough clinical examination. Blood samples and a urine analysis are collected during this visit, so everything is handled in one appointment. This is a proper clinical consultation with a qualified GP, not a tick-box exercise.
Our blood panel covers over 100 biomarkers across the key areas of health, going considerably further than a standard NHS health check or occupational health screen. Your GP will go through every result with you at your follow-up consultation.

Your whole body MRI is conducted at a specialist imaging centre in central London, chosen for its expertise in screening MRI and state-of-the-art 3T technology. The scan covers over 2,000 images from head to pelvis, checking your brain, neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis, including organs such as your liver, pancreas, bladder, kidneys, gall bladder, and thyroid gland. Every scan is reviewed by two UK radiology consultants to ensure you receive the most accurate report possible.
The scan takes up to 90 minutes. The environment is designed to help you feel at ease, with sound and lighting chosen to help you relax, and the team on hand to talk you through every step. You can take a break if you need one.
Whole body MRI is one of the most powerful tools available for detecting cancer and other abnormalities before symptoms appear. Large international studies have shown that between 1 and 2 percent of people screened by whole body MRI are found to have a previously unknown cancer. Around one in three scans will identify a milder finding that may warrant further testing or monitoring. Your GP will talk you through anything found at your results consultation.
As part of your whole body MRI, we measure your body composition in detail, including muscle mass, muscle fat, visceral fat around your internal organs, and liver fat. These measurements are considerably more precise than bioimpedance analysis and give your GP a clear picture of your metabolic health and your risk of conditions including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Visceral fat and liver fat in particular are among the strongest indicators of long-term metabolic risk and are not captured by standard weight or BMI measurements.
Your VO2 max test is conducted at Marylebone Health Group, a short walk from the MRI centre, and can be booked on the same day as your MRI or at a separate time. VO2 max — your maximum oxygen uptake — is one of the strongest predictors of long-term health and longevity, and measures your cardiovascular fitness more accurately than any wearable device.
Following your test, you will receive a personalised exercise prescription based on your individual results, including specific heart rate and power zones for both zone 2 and high-intensity training. This is not a generic fitness plan. It is a precise, data-driven prescription built around your physiology.
Our cardiovascular screening goes considerably beyond a standard cholesterol check, using the most clinically accurate markers available to assess your individual risk.
Resting electrocardiogram
Cardiovascular risk assessment, including 10-year and lifetime risk
Lipid analysis including HDL and LDL
Advanced lipid analysis including Lipoprotein (a) and Apolipoprotein B
Knowing your Lipoprotein (a) and Apolipoprotein B levels gives a far more accurate picture of cardiovascular risk than standard cholesterol testing alone, and can completely change the clinical picture for people who appear low-risk on a basic panel.
At the end of your results review, your GP will build a personalised prevention plan based on what your results actually show. This covers your cardiovascular risk, any relevant cancer screening recommendations, nutrition, exercise, and any further investigations your doctor thinks would be worthwhile. You leave with a clear set of priorities, written specifically for you, not a generic lifestyle leaflet.
Once all your results are ready, including your MRI report and VO2 max assessment, you will meet with your GP for a 60-minute results and prevention plan consultation. The additional time reflects the volume and complexity of what we cover at this tier. Your doctor will go through every result in detail, explain what each finding means for your long-term health, and build your personalised prevention plan covering cardiovascular risk, cancer risk, metabolic health, fitness, and any further investigations or referrals recommended. This consultation can be done in person at our Fulham clinic, by video, or by telephone.

How Your Screening Works

Step One
GP Assessment and Sample Collection
A 90-minute consultation at our Fulham clinic. Your GP takes a full medical history, conducts a physical examination, and collects blood, urine, and oral health samples.

Step Two
Whole Body MRI and VO2 Max Testing
Two appointments at specialist centres in W1, both close to Bond Street. These can be on the same day or on separate days to suit your schedule.

Step Three
Results Review and Your Prevention Plan
60-minute consultation with your GP to go through everything in detail. Build your personalised prevention plan and discuss any follow-up checks or referrals that would be beneficial.

Step Four
Ongoing Care, for as Long as You Need It
Your Coyne Medical GP is here beyond your screening day. Whether you need a medication review, a follow-up test, or simply want to track how your results change year on year, we are here for the long term.
What Makes This Different
GP-led throughout
Your screening is conducted by a qualified GP, not a technician or a nurse. The doctor who assesses you is the same doctor who reviews your results and builds your prevention plan. You will always speak to someone who knows your full picture.
Lipids, deeper than standard
Our advanced blood panel includes lipoprotein(a) and apolipoprotein B alongside a full hormonal and metabolic profile. These are markers that are routinely missed in even the most comprehensive private health checks.
A plan, not just a printout
Most health checks hand you a set of results and leave you to interpret them alone. We do not. Your results are explained in plain language and you leave with a prioritised action plan written specifically for you.
Fitness testing with a personalised prescription
Your VO2 max test at Marylebone Health Group gives a precise measure of cardiovascular fitness. You leave with a personalised exercise prescription including specific heart rate and power zones…
Imaging that goes far beyond a blood test
Your whole body MRI produces over 2,000 images reviewed by two UK radiology consultants. It looks at organs, soft tissue, and structure in a way no blood test can replicate.
Continuity, not a one-off appointment
Your 60-minute results consultation is included. Your Coyne Medical GP is here beyond screening day for follow-up tests, medication reviews, or to track how your results change year on year.
Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend fasting for at least eight hours before your assessment so your blood results are as accurate as possible. Water is fine to drink, and you should continue to take any regular medication as normal, including blood pressure tablets and other daily prescriptions.
If fasting is difficult for any reason, please just let your doctor know at the start of your appointment so your results can be interpreted with that in mind. We will confirm all preparation instructions when you book.
We discuss breast screening options with every female patient at their assessment. We advocate considering annual mammograms from the age of 40 for those at average risk. We refer to specialist breast screening clinics for this. These scans are best done in expert centres that focus on breast imaging specifically. Your GP will talk through your individual options and family history at your consultation.
Your GP assessment takes place at our Fulham clinic. Your whole body MRI and VO2 max test are conducted at specialist centres in W1, close to Bond Street. The MRI and VO2 max appointments can be booked on the same day as each other, but are separate from your GP assessment.
For most patients, we recommend spreading appointments across a few days. Having your initial results before your imaging appointments can be useful — occasionally, we identify something in your blood results or medical history that means we want to add a further test, such as a bone density scan or a CT coronary calcium score, and it is easier to arrange this alongside your other appointments if there is a little flexibility in your schedule.
For international patients travelling to London, we can arrange all appointments on the same day or across consecutive days. We would typically arrange a short call with your GP beforehand to make sure we have everything planned correctly and that you leave with everything you need.
If your results show anything that needs further investigation, your GP will discuss this with you at your follow-up consultation and advise on the appropriate next steps. Coyne Medical has strong relationships with specialist consultants and imaging centres across London and can refer you directly where needed. You will not be left to navigate this alone.
Yes. We can arrange back-to-back assessments on the same day or on separate days. Please contact us at reception@coynemedical.com to arrange this.
Health screening is not typically covered by standard private medical insurance as it is preventive rather than treatment-led. Some corporate and executive benefit packages do include cover. We recommend checking directly with your insurer. We can provide a detailed receipt for submission if needed.
Most blood results are returned within five to seven working days. MRI reports typically take five working days. We will contact you to book your follow-up consultation once everything is ready.
