Dr Lucy Hooper

Dr Lucy Hooper is a GP and co-founder of Coyne Medical, with a particular focus on preventive medicine, women’s health, child health, and genetic testing. She trained at Imperial College London, where she graduated with honours in Medicine, and holds postgraduate diplomas in Child Health and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, alongside a Master’s degree in Law and Medical Ethics from the University of Manchester. She is a member of the British Society for Genetic Medicine, the European Atherosclerosis Society, and the Independent Doctors Federation.

Lucy founded Coyne Medical with Dr Hugh Coyne in 2016 with a clear intention: to offer the kind of thorough, forward-looking GP care that goes beyond what a standard appointment allows. Her personal experience of genetic testing, including discovering her own inherited cancer gene variant, directly shaped the clinic’s approach to genetic screening and preventive health.

Her work has been featured by the BBC, The Guardian, The Times, Tatler, and Women’s Health, among others. Outside the clinic, she is a mother to two girls and loves running through London’s parks and along the riverside, currently working on her half-marathon time.
