Dr Leen Tannous

Dr Leen Tannous is a GP and functional medicine doctor who trained in North West London and has since practised across the city in both private and NHS general practice, urgent care centres and hospitals. She holds MBBS and gained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and she continues to work in the NHS alongside her private practice.

Her clinical focus is disease prevention and identifying the root cause of symptoms rather than treating them in isolation. Functional medicine looks at how diet, sleep, stress, movement and environment interact with a person’s biology, and uses detailed history taking and targeted testing to understand why symptoms are happening. In practice this means removing what is driving imbalance and putting back what the body needs to correct it, so that patients leave with a clear explanation and a plan they can act on rather than a prescription alone.

Leen regularly speaks at lectures and conferences on health and disease prevention, and she is particularly interested in helping patients make changes early, before problems become established.
