Men's Health Guides from our GPs
Men are statistically less likely to seek medical help, and more likely to be living with conditions that could have been caught earlier as a result.
In our experience, men tend to come to us in one of two ways: either something has prompted real concern, a symptom, a family history, a friend who had a health scare, or they have decided, sometimes quietly, that they want to be more proactive about their health and are not sure where to start. These guides cover the topics most relevant to men at different life stages: cardiovascular risk, prostate health, testosterone and hormonal health, and the screening tests most commonly delayed or missed, including what the evidence actually says about PSA testing and when it is appropriate.

Our Approach
Men’s health is an area where we consistently see a gap between what is available and what is actually being used. PSA testing, testosterone assessment, and cardiovascular screening are straightforward, evidence-based tests that can make a meaningful difference to long-term outcomes. We know that if a man has a brother with prostate cancer, his own risk before 75 rises to around 30%. That is the kind of information that should change behaviour, and it often does when someone takes the time to explain it properly. That is what a 30-minute GP consultation makes possible. Men’s health consultations, including testosterone assessment, PSA, and full cardiovascular profiling, are available as GP consultations or as part of our health screening packages.
