Your appointment MUST be on your 5th day of isolation at the earliest. Your arrival day is day 0. So for example, if you arrive in England on Monday, your first day of isolation is Tuesday and the earliest you could test is Saturday.

Whilst Coyne Medical Ltd will do everything it can to ensure prompt service, Covid-19 PCR tests are highly scientific tests, they must be processed by an external government accredited laboratory that may from time to time experience delays during the ongoing pandemic. We can accept no responsibility for financial losses, travel cancellations, disruption, or refusal to travel due to failed or later delivery of test kit and/or reported test results. All Covid-19 test results will be reported to Public Health England, this is a legal requirement, in the event of a positive test your contact details may be passed to authorities including the NHS Test and Trace service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we are on the UK government list of Covid-19 testing providers for both general testing, travel arrival testing and ‘Test to release’ testing available online here. We are also fully accredited by UKAS, the government laboratory testing accreditation to perform Covid-19 testing. Full details are available here.
We work with two highly trusted London laboratories for PCR testing, both are accredited to UKAS ISO 15189.
‘Day 2’ tests can be taken at any time from your arrival in England from a ‘Green’ or ‘Amber’ list country, called day 0. The test must be taken by day 2 at the latest, we would recommend booking for day 0 or 1.
‘Day 5 Test to Release’ tests can be taken from day 5. So if you arrive in England on Monday, your 1st full day of isolation is Tuesday and the earliest you can test is Saturday.
‘Day 8’ tests must be taken on day 8 or later. We would recommend booking these tests for day 8 if possible.
TEST PACKAGE BOOKINGS
When you book a day 2 and 8 or a day 2, 5 and 8 package you will choose the date and time of your day 2 appointment. We will then usually book your day 5 and 8 appointments for you and email you confirmation on this within 24 to 48 hours.

‘Fit to fly’ testing depends on the rules for the country you are visiting, it is recommended to check the exact requirements including timing and type of test required. The Foreign Office website is a good source or check with the relevant embassy.
Day 2 tests for are mandatory for all persons 5 years and older unless they have a special exemption, the full details on the rules are available on the government website here. Children resident in the UK should follow the ‘Fully vaccinated’ rules i.e. they only require a ‘Day 2 test’ if arriving from anywhere in the world NOT on the ‘Red list’.
Our test kits are suitable for all ages and all swabs are taken by experienced private GPs.
Routine results are usually expected within approximately 24 hours following receipt by the laboratory.
We use motorbike couriers to ensure samples from home tests and in-clinic are received quickly by our London laboratory partner.

We are a well-established medical clinic and therefore highly experienced in ensuring the confidentiality of your data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and use a specialist medical electronic record system to keep all your data secure.
There is special legislation in order to protect the public against Covid-19, this means we are required to share your personal details including details of your travel and your test result with Public Health England.
You will receive a signed certificate with your result by email. We will alert you that your result is ready by text message. If you require an alternative method then please let us know.
The UK government apply special rules for arrivals from ‘Red list’ countries, you must enter managed hotel quarantine and are not eligible for the our in-clinic day 2 and 8 tests, or the ‘Test to Release’ scheme. Full details of the scheme are available here.
As soon as you complete your booking online you will receive instant email confirmation. Please ensure you have completed booking your test package and completed your travel questionnaire. Then you will receive an email from ‘contact’ with confirmation of your test package booking, this will contain your ‘booking reference‘. You should use this to complete your Passenger Locator form online here, BEFORE you arrive in England. You will also receive separate confirmations for each swab test appointment for day 2 and 8 tests.

Yes, you can opt in to the ‘Test to release’ scheme anytime after your arrival as long as you. have not been in a ‘red list’ country in the 10 days prior to arrival in England.
Day 2 and 8 tests must be booked before your arrival in England.
